If you are receiving this email it means that your first grader is going to be in 1A at Kittredge School! Welcome! My name is Katie Barnett and I will be your child's teacher. I'm very excited to start the year!
I am sending a letter through the mail for the kids, but there are a few things that might be helpful to you as we approach the first day of school. Please take a look and let me know if you have any questions.
- The PTO is organizing a Popsicles on the Playground event so that you and your child can get to know some of the other first graders and their families. It will take place on Monday, August 26, at 4:30 pm. (Rain date: August 27)
- Mr. Cushing and the first grade teachers are holding a Meet and Greet event where the kids can see their classrooms before the first day of school. It will take place on Tuesday, August 27, at 1:00 pm in the Kittredge gym. Feel free to bring any bulky school supplies that you'd like to leave in the classroom.

IMPORTANT: Please email me with your child's dismissal plan sometime this week, if possible. Will they be picked up at the end of each day? Will they take the bus home (include bus number)? Will they be a walker? Will they attend Kids Stop? When I have this information before school starts, it makes the first day go so much more smoothly. :)
